Communities across Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney are brimming with volunteers who help make our towns and villages what they are.

Volunteering is not only rewarding, but it also enables people to play an active role in our society and contribute to positive social change.

Most of us already volunteer without thinking about it.  Every time you take part in a PTA or community group, you’re volunteering.  Even things like shovelling snow off a shared pavement, or cutting the grass in a communal area, counts as volunteering.

Our Community Stars award allows us to thank those who go above and beyond to make life better for others.  So, if you know an unsung hero who you think deserves recognition, let us know.
